The GamCPR is a highly advanced Close Proximity Radiography (CPR) system designed to dramatically reduce the primary beam and scattered radiation to safe levels. By utilizing targeted collimation and specialized shielding, it minimizes safe working distance barriers, preventing production downtime and allowing simultaneous operations on active sites.
Close Proximity Radiography (CPR) is “the conducting of radiography in close proximity to authorized radiation workers, members of the public or radiation-sensitive monitoring devices in such a way as to ensure continuous operations.”
The GamCPR provides massive cost and productivity benefits across a variety of applications. It is ideal for use during facility shutdowns, plant maintenance and turnarounds, in areas utilizing radiation-based technologies for process measurement, and on new build projects (both on-shore and off-shore) to accelerate construction programs. With GamCPR, you can safely continue 24-hour production while vital NDT inspection takes place.
Safe working distances can be reduced to just a 1m radius*, drastically lowering production downtime by allowing parallel operations in the same facility without radiological risks to surrounding workers. (*Depending on source strength and number of Shielding Mats used).
At the core is the lightweight, portable Exertus Selen Circa 80 Isotope Projector, weighing only 8.8kg, making it remarkably easy to deploy across complex plant geometry and elevations.
Features flexible silicone mats impregnated with Kevlar-reinforced shielding materials, paired with a user-friendly clamp and stand system to adapt rapidly to both contact and stand-off (ellipse) shots.
