Detailed Overview

The ERA99-B is a robust, portable radiation alarm, designed to give a visible and audible indication of environmental radiation. Operation is by means of sealed push buttons. “ON” activates the unit to its standby position, indicated by an AMBER flashing beacon.

In the event of exposure to radiation, the unit will automatically switch to a RED flashing beacon and give an audible tone. Depressing the “PRE-WARN” button causes a continuous audible tone.

The “OFF” button removes power from the unit and, if connected to a mains supply, the unit will automatically charge the internal battery from the built-in charger. Power to the unit is supplied by means of either an internal battery or via external mains supply to the sealed connector. In the event of a mains failure the battery automatically takes over, ensuring continuous radiation monitoring.

Provision is also made for slave lights, whereby multiple lights can be used to form a barrier.

A WIFI connection exists for the user to obtain additional information from the ERA99-B unit.

Any Web browser, on a cell phone or personal computer, can be used to connect to the ERA99-B
