Detailed Overview

A one channel lead shielded container used for the emergency containment of a single radioactive source assembly. The channel is ‘J’ shaped and can accommodate cable and link-type source assemblies with activities up to 30Ci Ir.192.

The lead shielding is encased in a mild steel box with a square bar carry handle. The channel is fitted with a stainless steel 1” x 18TPI type connector, to accommodate a guide funnel or source transfer tube, and secured with a screw-on channel cap.
