Detailed Overview

The Cygnus 4+ General Purpose thickness gauge is a robust, lightweight, multi-mode thickness gauge A robust, lightweight, multi-mode thickness gauge is the Cygnus 4+ General Purpose thickness gauge. It has an easy-to-use menu, sequential data logging for reporting and analysis, and a sunlight-readable display with Live A-scan. The unit can measure the residual wall thickness of high-temperature, operational assets without shutting down or isolating them when used in conjunction with the Cygnus High Temperature Probe. It is perfect for high-temperature, in-service thickness surveys in the refining, oil and gas, energy and process industries as well as plant maintenance, civil engineering, ship inspections and oil and gas facilities.

The data logging powerhouse with A-Scan, B-Scan, and Multiple-Echo modes in a single unit.

  • Offering the ultimate versatility, this gauge combines the through-coating simplicity of multiple-echo with the visual verification of A-Scan and B-Scan displays for complex flaw and pit detection.
  • It boasts extensive data logging and connectivity options for professional reporting, using structured linear and grid file naming to manage large data sets.
  • The contents feature the advanced thickness gauge unit, a standard probe and cable, a USB lead, data logging software, and a hard carry case.
  • The Multiple-Echo mode allows for fast, accurate measurements on coated materials, ignoring up to 20 mm of coating thickness.

Top Features & Benefits

  • Multiple-Echo mode for accurate, through-coat measurements
  • Echo-Echo and Single-Echo modes for heavily corroded metals with a thin or no coating
  • Deep Coat function ignores coatings up to 20mm thick
  • Live A-Scans aid visual measurement verification
  • Data Logging with A-scan and Auto-Log feature
  • Manual and automatic gain control
  • Min/max measurement limit functions with visual and vibrate alert
  • Large front sunlight readable LCD display with Live A-scan
  • Water and dust tight IP67 housing
